Because of our recent move into a brand new studio space, we are still in the process of setting up our server. As a result, shows currently being aired on WNYU will not be appearing in the archives. Shows aired on and before the 22nd of August have been archived and will remain available for browsing.

Starting the week of May 12th, Outside (experimental and contemporary sound) and Honky Tonk Radio Girl (classic country) will expand to 90 minutes.

News programs (Citywide & Earshot) will return in the fall.

WNYU-FM goes INTERNATIONAL!

On February 4th, 2008, WNYU began a partnership with The American University in Paris.

WNYU-FM’s programming will be simulcast both on the website of American University in Paris (aupradio.org) and soon over a nationwide French cable network.

This cable-radio broadcast, called Freebox, will eventually reach THREE MILLION HOMES in most major cities in France.

WNYU is New York University radio station and is completely operated by NYU students. WNYU’s studios are located in the basement of 721 Broadway in Greenwich Village. WNYU’s transmitter is located at University Heights in the Bronx, the former location of NYU. WNYU broadcasts on 89.1 FM with an effective radiated power of 8,300 watts weekdays from 4:00PM to 1:00AM, and on the Internet 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
